Exploding sinks
Hey everyone. We had a productive weekend. I got half of the basement organized, the big half. I worked from about 3:30 Sunday afternoon until about 9:30 when I got it done. What a MESS! Sheet rock dust everywhere. I have never really cleaned down there since we moved in because we kind of started tearing it apart soon and so half of the basement was still filled with boxes and stuff. After I was done I COULDN'T believe we fit all this stuff into two different apartments. I suppose we have accumulated a little in the past 2 1/2 years, but holy cow, we have too much stuff. (might I add... most of it is Josh's...he would probably disagree, but he doesn't throw anything away. Old Mt Dew bottles that he's sure will be worth money some day, boxes of magazines that are "refrence", refrence for what I have no idea, a rubber foot that he uses to scare me with...anyway you get the point. I like to throw things away... he does not. :)
My back was killing me by the time I was done and I couldn't move a muscle. But it still felt good to have it done.
We have a clog in our kitchen sink so I think Josh is going to tear that apart tonight. I have some dishes that need washed, but I can't do it because the water won't go down. We have tried two bottles of Drayno to no avail.
We were blessed with a free crib yesterday. Some friends from Crown GAVE us a crib. His name is Dave and his wife ran a daycare from their home and is getting out of it so they wanted to get rid of one of the cribs. We went over last night to look at it. It's white and that's what I wanted. I was very glad to get it because they are very expensive.
Last night I started doing some laundry and I had a couple of towels to add to the piles and I walked downstairs and what do I find? The laundry sink OVERFLOWING ALL OVER THE FLOOR. Our laundry room is tiled, so I wasn't really that worried there, but it had gone in the direction of Josh's office and I was REALLY scared the water was going to get the brand new carpet wet. I threw a towel down and was really glad to see it hadn't reached that far yet, but there was a ton of water to clean up. Apparently a rag we used to paint with plugged up the drain in the sink so when the water drained from the washing machine into the tub it overflowed. I got it cleaned up with no damage, but boy was I scared for a minute!
Sounds like we have alot of sink problems right now. :) Talk to you all soon.
Me
Yesterday I posted a really long post and then something happened and I lost it all!! ggrr, so I gave up and decided to post today. So to make up for it. I have pictures for you all. They aren't the best, but at least you can see how my belly is progressing.
Josh FINISHED our basement last night. He installed the built in bookcases and everything is beautiful. I told him we are going to have to entertain in the basement now because that's the nicest part of the house! :)
I'm feeling much better now. I'm usually only nauseous right before lunch and dinner and then I'm fine after I eat and it settles. Thank God!!
We had our second dr's appt last week and heard the baby again. We could hear him/her moving all around in there. The dr kept asking me if I could feel it, but I couldn't. Not yet anyway.
Enjoy the pics! :)
Spoiled
I got spoiled yesterday. Josh sent me roses at work. They are so pretty. I LOVE getting flowers. Probably one of my favorite things. Then... when I got home from work there was a box sitting on our front step... in the poring rain might I add... No, Deb it wasn't from UPS, so you don't need to yell at anyone there! :) My mom sent me a package. It had onesies in it that are sooo cute. Little yellow ducks on them and a children's book about a duck. She also sent me a movie, Pride and Prejudice, which I had really been wanting to see and of course, candy for my candy-holic husband. :)
It was a nice day, I have to say.
Trimming out
More of my day is spent not being nauseous now. YEAH! For the past 5 days I have felt soooo much better. Now I just usually get nauseous at night. I can handle that. I am gradually getting bigger. I was looking at some pictures on line yesterday different women and their how big they are getting. Some of those women at 14 weeks were HUGE! I couldn't believe it. Everyone goes at their own pace I guess. I'm happy with were I'm at.
GUESS WHAT??? We bought all the trim for the basement last Saturday!! Another big YEAH!! So Josh is taking off work on Friday so he has the whole weekend to get it done. And then this weekend we are buying the carpet. I'm soooo excited. We will be moving in in no time. It will be so great to have the "baby's" :) room cleaned out and then we can start working in there. I don't really have much to do though since I don't have anything and we don't know if it's going to be a boy or girl. We are seriously considering red because that seems neutral. I don't know. I need to look at some pictures.
So... what did I talk about in these things before I got pregnant? :)
I think I'm beginning to feel your prayers. Today has been really good and yesterday I had a pretty good day. I was sort of nauseous in the morning and then it went away until about 7:30 at night. It was so great! And today.... I haven't been nauseous at all. I can't believe it! I don't want to jinx myself, but I'm really hoping I'm on the upswing now. Normally by this time of day (11:00am) I'm so nauseous because it's getting close to lunch time and I need to eat something. But nope... I'm good and ALL I've eaten is a bowl of cereal. It's been great!! Ok, you can tell I'm happy about this. Hopefully this continues.
You can really tell I'm showing today. I HAVE to remind myself to take some pictures tonight so I can email them and post one on here so you all can see my progress. :) Because I know (mothers) that you are dying to see how big I'm getting. :)
Josh has practice tonight and I'm going to watch my show...American Idol. I have started reading Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey and it's a really great book. So I'll probably spend some time doing that and making a plan.
Chat to you all later. :)
