Too much sports!

We had another busy weekend. I went to 4 soccer games and 1 softball game. I know, that's too many! :) Josh had to coach a tournament for his Minnetonka team so we were at games all weekend. His team won the tournament for their division though so that was really good. Then he had a softball game Sunday night at 8 so we went to that. I really miss playing softball, nest year. Quite a sports filled weekend. Unfortunately I wasn't able to keep up on my house over the weekend so now I have lots to do this week.

I having NOTHING going on tonight! YEA! Josh has practice, but he'll be home after that. Tomorrow night we have another game to go to and then Practice Wednesday, a game on Thursday and off for the rest of the week and weekend!

I would like to go register this weekend for baby stuff but I'm not sure that will happen. Hopefully, I need to get it done.

Baby at 20 weeks

Holes, Water, and Mud!

Hey all! It's been a while since I posted, so here I am. Gaining weight, probably as we speak! :) My belly really sticks out nicely now. It's a lot of fun though. I have posted some ultrasound pictures of the baby for those of you who didn't get to see them. I'm feeling great, haven't ben sick since week 16 and I'm just started week 23 yesterday. Hard to believe I'm over half way there. It's gone so fast for me.

Well, it seems like everytime I post on this thing we have some new catastrophe, and yes, this will be another. So... I posted about our newly complete and very beautiful basement being complete. Well, last Monday morning (my birthday) we woke up to about an inch of water on the basement floor. All over our brand new carpet. It had been raining for about 4 days here. So needles to say, we spent the day at home sopping up water. We rented a huge fan and carpet cleaner and I ran the carpet cleaner ALL day and Josh installed a sump pump in our laundry room. That took care of the problem thank goodness. But we were exhausted. it could have been a lot worse though because luckily nothing was ruined. We were able to get all the water out of the carpet and are still running fans even though it's all dry. I guess just to be safe. I scrubbed the carpet yesterday because it no longer smelled new :(, but was really smelling musty from all the water and that took care of that. Febreeze is my friend! :) You should have seen our laundry room. COVERED in mud!!! Josh had to pound through the concrete floor and then dig like a three foot hole and install the sump pump. I really never thought it would be clean again, but it is, thank the Lord!

So that's that and I'm still very glad that day is over. It gives Josh and I a great feeling like we can conquer big things in our marriage. I know those things seem overwhelming and hopeless at the time... and VERY discouraging after so much work went into it, but you work together and get through it and after it's done you can look back and feel proud that you were able to get through it together. Right? all you married people? :)

I'll wrap here and say enjoy the pictures of our beautiful girl.... and no I still haven't talked Josh into letting me open the envelope. UGH!!! But I'm trying.
